Behind the Scenes of a Studio Photoshoot

Earlier on in my blog, I talked about everything that goes on behind the scenes for sports photographers. This time, I'm going to talk about what goes on behind the scenes for studio work. This blog post will definitely tie into my Photoshop Ethics blog post so be sure to check it out if you haven't already. When looking at studio work for face value, it is pretty crazy. You are using a bunch of lights, in my case two, to create artificial light to make it look like you didn't create any light. Studio lights are meant to emulate what the human eye sees and add some emphasis to it. With all of this being said, a studio is not always the simplest thing to set up. In my personal work, I always set up my studio in my garage. This means that I have to sweep the area very well, lay down paper and have a "clean" area. What I Have Learned as a Dog Photographer

 As a professional dog photographer, there are a ton of things that I have learned that I never expected to be important. In this blog post, I'll talk about how you can capture some cute photos of your slobbery companion at home and some of the things that our furry friends have taught me! Since my blog post about taking cute photos with your significant other was pretty successful, I thought that it would be a good idea to discuss how you can take some cute photos of your pup at home. First things first, your dog should always remain on a leash unless you are in a fenced in area. I'll even talk about how you can hide the leash in plain sight without the need for Photoshop. Getting right into it, make sure that you have A TON of treats with you. This will help you get your dogs attention. You can also bring toys or sticks if your dog likes those.
